The regatta was held again on the 2nd weekend of September, thanks to Tony for organising all of the tasks and John Webb did an excellent job making up some life size buoys so they could be seen across the lake. With several races, games and board games there was a wide variety of things to keep everyone occupied. Once again Denise did us proud supplying everyone with hot dogs drinks, crisps etc.

We had a very successful wine tasting evening and Grand Prize Draw, we managed to raise £1000 with the draw and £500 from the wine tasting. We must thank Denise, John, Anne (Tony's wife) and Tony. We must also thank everyone who sold, purchased, donated prizes, attended the wine tasting and generally supported us. Thank you.

You may have noticed that we now have two Laser 2000 the second one was purchased at the start of the season with money donated by Local Network Fund we must thank them for their continued support.

We have managed with your help to raise enough money to purchase a new safety boat. We originally were going to purchase another rib similar to the blue one we already have, this was going to cost around £8000, a lot of money. However we were shown a different type of boat a Jeanneau Rigiflex New Matic 360, it looks a bit like an orange bath tub but it would only cost £4000 that's half the price of the rib. We have now purchased the said orange bath tub after extensive trials which it passed with flying colours. These boats are used all over the country at training centres, they have 3 at Alton Water near Ipswich which is where we tried the boat out.
